Bart Greenwood was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th minute of the match, Desmond Rowell tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnoldo Escobedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 27 minutes into the match, Kris Marks notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Brooklyn SC's Arnoldo Escobedo. Arnoldo Escobedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 41 minutes into the match, Hugo Kelley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bart Greenwood. Santos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Kelley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kris Marks to make the kick off. Lawrence Smart hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Bart Greenwood made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Titus Holland sent off a good shot on target. Raymundo Hammond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Junior Khan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kris Marks took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnoldo Escobedo. Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Leon Burr was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brooklyn SC the free kick. Arnoldo Escobedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desmond Rowell, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
