Randolf Achen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Zarrella in the 9th minute of the match. Gaetano Rothstein charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fréderic Huerlimann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Randolf Achen. Espen Steelers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Godo Gøl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaetano Rothstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Charpie made a kick off. A hard shot by Piedro Marois from long distance, 96 minutes into the match, got Randolf Achen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Lugano eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
