The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Bora18's goalkeeper Flavio Baristo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fidel Ixona. The supporters of Argon booed when Bora18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Galsino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Fidel Ixona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Ixona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute Jacinto Aurre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Montrelle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Argon's Vladimiro Muno got a free kick in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Argon's Fidel Ixona got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bora18's zone, Jimeno Fernado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Baristo came out of the goal and Jimeno Fernado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fidel Ixona came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Argon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Ixona couldn't finish the play. Flavio Baristo made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Jimeno Fernado sent off a good shot on target. When Fabian Eron fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bora18's protests and gave Fabian Eron a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Bora18 got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Eron. Bora18's Flavio Baristo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Adrio in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Jimeno Fernado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Iliana in the 33rd minute of play forced Argon's goalkeeper Roque Montrelle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bora18's Anibal Leguizamón got a free kick in the 36th minute. Argon's Vladimiro Muno got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fidel Ixona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Baristo having to interfere. Bora18's Flavio Baristo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Bora18 from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fidel Ixona made a kick off. Fidel Ixona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavio Baristo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Fernado in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bora18's zone, Jimeno Fernado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Baristo came out of the goal and Jimeno Fernado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jimeno Fernado came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Argon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Fernado couldn't finish the play. Melquiades Adrio took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Baristo. Flavio Baristo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Melquiades Adrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jimeno Fernado came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Argon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Fernado couldn't finish the play. If Jimeno Fernado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Montrelle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Galsino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the game, Jacinto Aurre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roque Montrelle. Jacinto Aurre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Flavio Baristo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Muno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Remigio Iliana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roque Montrelle. Argon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remigio Iliana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Argon's Roque Montrelle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Galsino in the 95th minute of play. Bora18 were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Argon's much stronger midfield.
