Desiderio Ixaka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Macerio in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 minutes, Camilo Tabor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leon Platense and the Q. T. I. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Leon Platense getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Camilo Tabor hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the game, one of Q. T. I.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Leon Platense. Victorino Cefero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evaristo Xacintu. 1-0. 32 minutes into the game, Leon Platense's Leon Guilabertus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evaristo Xacintu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Angelo Lohitzun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Evaristo Xacintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmiro Macerio made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Saul Beltza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delmiro Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Desiderio Ixaka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Q. T. I. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jaime Menendo hit a great ball. The supporters of Leon Platense booed when Q. T. I. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Ostots didn't get a good kick on the ball. Desiderio Ixaka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Weather in the 61st minute of play.
