Mauricio Botello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Oihan in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Efrain Cordearo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Botello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Ilazki lost his temper 26 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. If Efrain Cordearo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efrain Cordearo to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Ciriaco Cordarrol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vaqueteros FC and the Acratas Unidos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Ciriaco Cordarrol a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 77 minutes into the game, one of Vaqueteros FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Efrain Cordearo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Mauricio Botello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acratas Unidos. Cecilio Felipillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Botello having to interfere. Acratas Unidos's Candido Quinteros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Ted in the 96th minute of play. Acratas Unidos's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
