After 7 played minutes Defensores de Lombroso got a freekick which was hit by Jose Calvino. 8 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Micael came free, but Elpidio Aragones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Liberto was a little too slow when Ramiro Cidro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Elpidio Aragones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Carlomagno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leandro Carlomagno in the 14th minute. Elpidio Aragones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Carlomagno in the 16th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Leandro Carlomagno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensores de Lombroso the free kick. Leandro Carlomagno kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Leandro Carlomagno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elpidio Aragones made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Cidro got free with Angelino Liberto in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Aerolineas Argentinas FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jesus Maxin hit a great ball. Defensores de Lombroso's Quique Hrabina got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Carlomagno in the 35th minute of play forced Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Elpidio Aragones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Jose Calvino threw the ball into play from the sideline. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Gabriel Alcántara quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 44 minutes into the game, Clodoveo Ederono was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensores de Lombroso the free kick. The audience was convinced that Leandro Carlomagno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elpidio Aragones was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Defensores de Lombroso made a substitution. Agustin Mirande replaced Clodoveo Oliverios. In the 50th minute Aerolineas Argentinas FC were awarded a corner. Leandro Carlomagno went to the cornerflag to take it. Gabriel Alcántara made a great header on Aerolineas Argentinas FC's corner, it was just that Defensores de Lombroso's Elpidio Aragones managed to reach the ball for a save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Camilo Micael stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leandro Carlomagnos short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Elpidio Aragones to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 55 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Micael came free, but Elpidio Aragones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Farias kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Camilo Micael nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Angelino Liberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Cidro in the 69th minute of play. Defensores de Lombroso's Elpidio Aragones proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Lombroso from getting a goal against them. After 80 minutes, Camilo Micael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aerolineas Argentinas FC and the Defensores de Lombroso players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, Camilo Micael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesus Maxin hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Ivan Quin was substituted for Marco Ledesma. The Aerolineas Argentinas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aerolineas Argentinas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
