Alzaga FC were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Cura del Futbol's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Placido Lia took the corner. The corner led to Alzaga FC's Ismael Ibañez getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Pedro Salamon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gilberto Hernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Salamon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Placido Lia made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Hernandez. Cura del Futbol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 15 minutes, Felix Luzaide mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cura del Futbol and the Alzaga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Alzaga FC's Placido Lia in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cura del Futbol's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Placido Lia in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Hernandez saved Cura del Futbol from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Placido Lia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Hernandez was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Placido Lia put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Gilberto Hernandez. Alzaga FC's Manuel Ekain got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Placido Lia notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Cura del Futbol's Gilberto Hernandez. Gilberto Hernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 42 minutes into the match, Placido Lia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Hernandez. Cura del Futbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Placido Lia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Manuel Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Hernandez having to interfere. The supporters of Alzaga FC booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Placido Lia made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Pedro Salamon made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Cura del Futbol's Gilberto Hernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilberto Hernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Salamon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 55 minute of play. With a little luck, Cura del Futbol's Gilberto Hernandez got control of the ball when Pedro Salamon tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cura del Futbol's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Placido Lia was slow to take the kick. During this time Alzaga FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Placido Lia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gilberto Hernandez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gilberto Hernandez made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Jimeno Ospetsu sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Constantino Peter during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Placido Lia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Gilberto Hernandez made a huge save. In the 72nd minute, Pedro Salamon made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Hernandez. Cura del Futbol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Pedro Salamon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Hernandez having to interfere. Felix Luzaide got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 78th match minute, Cura del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luzaide to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Hernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Quirze in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Placido Lia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jimeno Ospetsu hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
