Victorino Tuste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Gabrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernan Pero's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amador Umea firmly grabbed it by the left post. Amador Umea made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Hernan Pero sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Gimnasia y tiro booed when Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Gabrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Hernan Pero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvio Dei hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Gabrio in the 32nd minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Victorino Tuste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melquiades Martxot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Amador Umea made a huge save. Victorino Tuste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Gabrio in the 36th minute of the match. Victorino Tuste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Sergi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidio Cutberto hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match Delmiro Abecia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victorino Tuste skillfully saved the ball.

The wind increased when Hernan Pero made the kick off in the second half. Gimnasia y tiro's Victorino Tuste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Gabrio in the 52nd minute of play. Victorino Tuste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Fidencio in the 55th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Victorino Tuste had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Israel Rosario. Victorino Tuste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Gabrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siro Sergi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Victorino Tuste made a huge save. Ovidio Cutberto kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Siro Sergi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvio Dei's late challenge caught a Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvio Dei helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Gimnasia y tiro got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Dei. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y tiro's Jose Lehen got a free kick in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Silvio Dei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimnasia y tiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Dei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Umea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 minutes, Ovidio Cutberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gimnasia y tiro and the Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Ovidio Cutberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gimnasia y tiro's Victorino Tuste proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y tiro from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Sergi got free with Victorino Tuste in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Siro Sergi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorino Tuste read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Gimnasia y tiro's Victorino Tuste proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y tiro from getting a goal against them. Gonzalito de PuertoMadryn played a much better game than Gimnasia y tiro and deserved their victory. The Gimnasia y tiro players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
