Emiliano Iruinea charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Iruinea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hermengildo Suero's late challenge caught a Duendes Verdes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermengildo Suero helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Duendes Verdes booed when Plebeyos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Suero didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Narciso Theodore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciriaco Manex hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Plebeyos's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Prejun came free, but Carlos Manuel Goyeneche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis María Rodriguez in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Bartoli saved Duendes Verdes from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, Valentin Abalos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Duendes Verdes's Gilberto Bartoli. Gilberto Bartoli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 20 minutes into the match, Jeremias Francis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Manuel Goyeneche. Plebeyos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeremias Francis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Duendes Verdes's zone, Valentin Abalos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Bartoli came out of the goal and Valentin Abalos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermengildo Suero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Bartoli having to interfere. Valentin Abalos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilberto Bartoli having to make a save. 31 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Manex was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Plebeyos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Duendes Verdes the free kick. Moises Escobar struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Gilberto Bartoli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plebeyos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Abalos in the 37th minute of play forced Duendes Verdes's goalkeeper Gilberto Bartoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Valentin Abalos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Bartoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes, Valentin Abalos made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Duendes Verdes's Gilberto Bartoli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Plebeyos's goalkeeper Carlos Manuel Goyeneche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carolo Lope. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Abalos was the one to do the kick off. Plebeyos's Carlos Manuel Goyeneche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Lope in the 52nd minute of play. Valentin Abalos struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Gilberto Bartoli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plebeyos. 57 minutes into the match, Jeremias Francis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Manuel Goyeneche. Plebeyos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeremias Francis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Gilberto Bartoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Abalos in the 60th minute of play. In the 65th minute Jeremias Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Manuel Goyeneche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Luis María Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Plebeyos's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis María Rodriguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Bartoli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th match minute, Plebeyos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano Perrando to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes, Duendes Verdes's Erasmo Elorri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Manuel Goyeneche came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Duendes Verdes reached it. In the 79th minute, Jeremias Francis made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Manuel Goyeneche. Plebeyos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 82 minutes into the match, Plebeyos's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Bizi came free, but Carlos Manuel Goyeneche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Moises Escobar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilberto Bartoli. Moises Escobar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. With a little luck, Duendes Verdes's Gilberto Bartoli got control of the ball when Luis María Rodriguez tried to sneak it across the goal line.
