After 8 played minutes Sarmiento de Resistencia got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe George. In the 9th minute of the match Florencio Rocendo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Siro Elazar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Sarmiento de Resistencia getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Bernabe George hit a great ball. After 18 played minutes El Gallo de Moron got a freekick which was hit by Raul Hori. After some careless play in the El Gallo de Moron defense, Agustin Cayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Higinio Teodor. The El Gallo de Moron fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Higinio Teodor should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Gustavo Iyan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Gallo de Moron's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarmiento de Resistencia the free kick. In the 27th minute, one of El Gallo de Moron:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Gallo de Moron. The goalkeeper, Higinio Teodor, was totally fooled by Sarmiento de Resistencia's Bernabe George, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 33 minutes into the game, Eulalio Abalos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Higinio Teodor. Eulalio Abalos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Bernabe George got a free kick in the 38th minute. 45 minutes into the match, El Gallo de Moron's goalkeeper Higinio Teodor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesar Lekubegi. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesar Lekubegi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Raul Hori fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Gallo de Moron's protests and gave Raul Hori a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sarmiento de Resistencia booed when El Gallo de Moron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, El Gallo de Moron's Mauro Ospetsu got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to El Gallo de Moron getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Florencio Rocendo hit a great ball. Maximo Lucado charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximo Lucado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 62 minutes into the game, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Cesar Lekubegi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Higinio Teodor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After a rather tough play, El Gallo de Moron's Maximo Lucado got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Agustin Cayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, Agustin Cayo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Higinio Teodor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute, El Gallo de Moron's Maximo Lucado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Siro Elazar. Siro Elazar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sarmiento de Resistencia fans cheered their team off the field, for while El Gallo de Moron had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
