An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Kusko in the 8th minute of play forced Riquelme 10's goalkeeper Leo Transito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Behe came free, but Pablo Acevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riquelme 10 were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after C. A. Potrero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. German Caitano took the corner. Riquelme 10's German Caitano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pablo Acevedo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 15th minute Baldomiro Lop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Transito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Transito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baldomiro Lop's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Baldomiro Lop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Americo Behe made a precise shot to the right of Pablo Acevedo. C. A. Potrero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 28th minute German Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Riquelme 10's Segundo Guillerme got a free kick in the 31st minute. Baldomiro Lop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Transito having to interfere. After a rather tough play, C. A. Potrero's Lucas Constancio got a free kick in the 44th minute. After having played for 45 minutes, German Caitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riquelme 10's supporters crossed their fingers, but German Caitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for German Caitano to strike the kick off in the second half. Riquelme 10 made a substitution. Tiburcio Chano replaced Victorio Frisco. In the 73rd minute Americo Behe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Ezkerra during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Edgard Ezkerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Transito came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Potrero's Adan Hustaz. But to his dismay, Adan Hustaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 88th minute, Baldomiro Lop left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Potrero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. There was no doubt that C. A. Potrero were the better team. C. A. Potrero's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
