Uriel Jerrald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo George, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uriel Jerrald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Oriol in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Desafio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Gonzales came free, but Elvio Damario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tiburcio Oalo fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Margarita's protests and gave Tiburcio Oalo a yellow card for diving instead. Tiburcio Oalo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Santa Margarita's Uriel Jerrald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo George in the 32nd minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match Amancio Gonzales sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elvio Damario skillfully saved the ball. If Severino Heli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Huly was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albano Abeitia during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Serafin Tino helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Desafio FC booed when Santa Margarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Tino didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Santa Margarita's Uriel Jerrald got control of the ball when Agustin Oriol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uriel Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Huly, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A nice corner shot did that Amancio Gonzales got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elvio Damario quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 95th minute, Vicente Huly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Desafio FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Santa Margarita.
