After 16 minutes, Witomir Zagrodny mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RKS Królewscy and the Stal Rzeszów players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wojciech Tusk in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin van der Saar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edwin van der Saar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wojciech Tusk's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Pierz in the 21st minute of play forced Stal Rzeszów's goalkeeper Rafal Trzaskoma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wojciech Tusk in the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Zdzislaw Pierz managed to get in a good position for a shot. RKS Królewscy's supporters rose to their feet, but Zdzislaw Pierz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafal Trzaskoma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. RKS Królewscy's Edwin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wojciech Tusk in the 27th minute of play. Boruc Gdaniec charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boruc Gdaniec the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Stal Rzeszów's Boruc Gdaniec got a free kick in the 29th minute. A hard shot by Radomil Gajewski from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Rafal Trzaskoma's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 34th match minute, RKS Królewscy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zdzislaw Pierz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 38 minutes, Zenon Bochynski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RKS Królewscy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zenon Bochynski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafal Trzaskoma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zdzislaw Pierz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zdzislaw Pierz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aureliusz Poling made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Zenon Bochynski however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wojciech Tusk in the 53rd minute of play forced RKS Królewscy's goalkeeper Edwin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Witomir Zagrodny with Zenon Bochynski as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. RKS Królewscy's Edwin van der Saar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save RKS Królewscy from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wojciech Tusk in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin van der Saar saved RKS Królewscy from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Stal Rzeszów's Wojciech Tusk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edwin van der Saar. That made the score 0-1 after 71 minutes of play. Norbert Mojsiewicz hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Edwin van der Saar made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Wojciech Tusk sent off a good shot on target. Wojciech Tusk did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Edwin van der Saar 84 minutes into the match. Stal Rzeszów's attentive Borys Majorski managed to snatch the ball when Aureliusz Poling made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. After 93 minutes of play, RKS Królewscy's Zdzislaw Pierz made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafal Trzaskoma was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Stal Rzeszów had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
