When Rinalds Brencsons fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GAUJA's protests and gave Rinalds Brencsons a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, GAUJA's Rinalds Brencsons got a free kick in the 9th minute. Tityos Tourna, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 16 minutes into the match, GAUJA's goal looked a bit too open when Akis Kaglantge came free, but Brencis Dermans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augeias Pezos kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 22 minutes of play, Unione Sportiva's Poias Nikolakopoulos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brencis Dermans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gunārs Skaistkalns took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giorgos Kakos. Giorgos Kakos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Giorgos Kakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uldis Kuzītis in the 32nd minute of play. Rinalds Brencsons hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Brencis Dermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akis Kaglantge in the 38th minute of play. GAUJA's Herberts Mendziņš got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Unione Sportiva's goal looked a bit too open when Rinalds Brencsons came free, but Giorgos Kakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seleykos Manoukarakis hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Aldis Liestiņš took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Giorgos Kakos. Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Akis Kaglantge made a kick off. Brencis Dermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akis Kaglantge in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Apsyrtos Papadelias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unione Sportiva and the GAUJA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Apsyrtos Papadelias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Herberts Mendziņš managed to get in a good position for a shot. GAUJA's supporters rose to their feet, but Herberts Mendziņš was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Kakos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Igmārs Pinkevics charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igmārs Pinkevics the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th match minute, GAUJA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igmārs Pinkevics to maneuver through the defense. When Apsyrtos Papadelias came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Unione Sportiva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apsyrtos Papadelias couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, GAUJA's Rinalds Brencsons got a free kick in the 61st minute. A collision led to GAUJA getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Edgars Rupeneits hit a great ball. GAUJA's Brencis Dermans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akis Kaglantge in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Edgars Rupeneits hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brencis Dermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akis Kaglantge in the 69th minute of play. Rinalds Brencsons was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Rinalds Brencsons kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunārs Skaistkalns in the 79th minute of play forced Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Giorgos Kakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herberts Mendziņš might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giorgos Kakos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herberts Mendziņš ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes into the match, GAUJA's goal looked a bit too open when Poias Nikolakopoulos came free, but Brencis Dermans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Akis Kaglantge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brencis Dermans was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Unione Sportiva's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
