The audience thought a goal was coming when Saverio Baamonde got free with Horacio Iglesias in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute Saverio Baamonde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Iglesias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Iratxo Arizmendi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliviero Vados made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Horacio Iglesias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Baamonde in the 28th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Bartolome Erosa notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Oliviero Vados. Oliviero Vados was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oliviero Vados showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iratxo Arizmendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The supporters of E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® booed when VERDOLAGA CITY FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iratxo Arizmendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Fernandez Barnuevo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horacio Iglesias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® reached it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calisto Armendarez to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goalkeeper Oliviero Vados had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bartolome Erosa. Bernad Trasviña hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Bartolome Erosa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oliviero Vados. That made the score 1-3 in the 53 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iratxo Arizmendi in the 58th minute of play forced E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goalkeeper Oliviero Vados to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calisto Armendarez's late challenge caught a VERDOLAGA CITY FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calisto Armendarez helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® got a freekick which was hit by Calisto Armendarez. In the 80th minute, Calisto Armendarez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 83 minutes into the match, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Iratxo Arizmendi came free, but Oliviero Vados reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Oliverio Leonor scored to the left of an out of position Oliviero Vados, making the score, 2-5. After 86 played minutes VERDOLAGA CITY FC got a freekick which was hit by Oliverio Leonor. Bikendi Axeitos hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A hard and well directed shot from Sansone Villandiego led 90 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Horacio Iglesias became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 3-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iratxo Arizmendi in the 95th minute of play forced E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goalkeeper Oliviero Vados to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. VERDOLAGA CITY FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
