But to his dismay, Valentine Abello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ricart Socarras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valentine Abello went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Mikel Abechuco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricart Socarras was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Deportivo Empate's Cordairo Abad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Empate from getting a goal against them. Alberto-Federico Duran charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto-Federico Duran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Deportivo Empate getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alberto-Federico Duran hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the game, Jeraldo Orruma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Pepe Burrón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Empate the free kick. A collision led to FC Pepe Burrón getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jeraldo Orruma hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Saturnin Somarriba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC Pepe Burrón booed when Deportivo Empate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baleren Abeita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricart Socarras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikel Abechuco went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 47 minutes into the match, FC Pepe Burrón's goal looked a bit too open when Mikel Abechuco came free, but Ricart Socarras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Deportivo Empate were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentine Abello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pepe Burrón's zone, Mikel Abechuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricart Socarras came out of the goal and Mikel Abechuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute, Silverio Prior made a precise shot to the right of Cordairo Abad. Deportivo Empate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Ricart Socarras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Abascal, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 65 played minutes Deportivo Empate got a freekick which was hit by Lohitzun Abenda. After recieving a nice pass, FC Pepe Burrón's Elazar Bañuelos tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Zunbeltz Bilbao made a precise shot to the right of Cordairo Abad. Deportivo Empate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Cordairo Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Prior, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 83 played minutes FC Pepe Burrón got a freekick which was hit by Osoitz Lombillo. In the 84th match minute, Deportivo Empate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mannie Abella to maneuver through the defense. Rodolfo Avendaño kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Mikel Abechuco might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricart Socarras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikel Abechuco ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the match, Valentine Abello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricart Socarras. FC Pepe Burrón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentine Abello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4.
