Fernandinho Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Magalhães in the 21st minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Limoeiro-PE FC got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Carioca. With a little luck, Limoeiro-PE FC's Ricardo Carneiro got control of the ball when Luís Fabiano Capixaba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christiano de Lara lost his temper 31 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Ubatuba getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Christiano de Lara hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Olívio Vasconcelos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandinho Bastos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Limoeiro-PE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Carioca to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th match minute, Ubatuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Viana to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute of the match Olívio Vasconcelos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandinho Bastos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Franklin Martins kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardo Carneiro. That made the score 5-0 in the 40 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Limoeiro-PE FC's Hugo Magalhães got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Magalhães to strike the kick off in the second half. Hugo Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Bastos having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Limoeiro-PE FC got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Vasconcelos. 58 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Brodel came free, but Ricardo Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmir Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ricardo Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Viana in the 63rd minute of play. The attack was good, but when Walmir Brodel in the 64th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Vágner de Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vágner de Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 70 minutes into the game, Walmir Brodel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Ricardo Carneiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Fabiano Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Brodel in the 87th minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandinho Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When Sidney Viana fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ubatuba's protests and gave Sidney Viana a yellow card for diving instead. Sidney Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Olívio Vasconcelos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ubatuba's Fernandinho Bastos didn't even have to move. Ubatuba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
