With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarbas Loyola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Zézinho Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st match minute, Elite™- FC Galácticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Jarbas Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Velloso in the 22nd minute of play. Zézinho Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jarbas Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Quintal in the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Elite™- FC Galácticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Torres to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Jarbas Loyola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristóvão Maciel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabiano dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Raphael de Brito sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Elite™- FC Galácticos booed when Xerife FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elite™- FC Galácticos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
