Dudu Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlindo Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Luiz Paulo Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raúl do Valle's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. A collision led to Dragões de Campo Grande getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Pinheiro hit a great ball. Raimundo Valle succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After a rather tough play, Dragões de Campo Grande's Carlos Alberto Paulista got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Dudu Ferreira was a little too slow when Bruninho Rodrigues got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raúl do Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrick Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Rafinha Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Nada Pontual F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Macedo came free, but Dudu Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Augusto Negri hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Arlindo Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dudu Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Siqueira in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Dragões de Campo Grande's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl do Valle came free, but Patrick Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dragões de Campo Grande booed when Nada Pontual F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruninho Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Dudu Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragões de Campo Grande. After 87 played minutes Dragões de Campo Grande got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Paulista. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidnei Montenegro got free with Patrick Machado in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raúl do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Patrick Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dragões de Campo Grande's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
