Goth Cloudy Experience's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléber Motta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Leon Sport Club defense, Fellipe Pereira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Chilavert. The Leon Sport Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Chilavert should have stopped the shot. Alessandro de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Teixeira in the 40th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Edmundo Freire made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Vágner Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Fellipe Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Leon Sport Club booed when Goth Cloudy Experience was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Chilavert was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Clóvis Falcão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. Alessandro de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Freire in the 75th minute of the match. When Fellipe Pereira fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goth Cloudy Experience's protests and gave Fellipe Pereira a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Goth Cloudy Experience got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Pereira. Victor Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Motta in the 81st minute of play. Fellipe Pereira might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Chilavert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fellipe Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. Leon Sport Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Kléber Motta scored to the left of an out of position Victor Chilavert, making the score, 0-3. In the 91st minute Kléber Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Sport Club were furious when Júlio Tróia was red carded, 94 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Leon Sport Club getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Júlio Tróia hit a great ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Jacinto Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goth Cloudy Experience's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
