Caine Tucknott came out of the goal and Braedan Wayland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the game, Ed Skittrall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Caine Tucknott was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braedan Wayland to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Flying Hellfish's Barney Paddle got a free kick in the 34th minute. Caine Tucknott didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Braedan Wayland went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Flying Hellfish defense, Braedan Wayland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caine Tucknott. The Flying Hellfish fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caine Tucknott should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Dean Quinnell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chris Hemsley was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Flying Hellfish's Kelvin Quinnell got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Kenneth Limmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caine Tucknott having to interfere. Ed Skittrall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57thth minute of the game Otto Dillon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elderslie Magpies's Chris Hemsley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Paco Smee fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elderslie Magpies's protests and gave Paco Smee a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Paco Smee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Hemsley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam James in the 59th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Braedan Wayland. 67 minutes into the match, Flying Hellfish's goalkeeper Caine Tucknott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Braedan Wayland. In the 72nd minute, Braedan Wayland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caine Tucknott was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. In the 77th minute Dean Quinnell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Hemsley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jess Haslett kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hale Mckinnes during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hale Mckinnes to maneuver through the defense. Elderslie Magpies's Chris Hemsley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Quinnell in the 89th minute of play. Chris Hemsley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Quinnell in the 91st minute of play. Adam James sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Elderslie Magpies walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
