FC Aquile Azzurre's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 14 minutes into the match, Fulvio Cugini notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Fiume Veneto's Camillo Malatesta. Camillo Malatesta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fulvio Cugini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camillo Malatesta having to make a save. 25 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's Bianco Masi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulvio Gabriele narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, FC Aquile Azzurre's goal looked a bit too open when Bianco Masi came free, but Fulvio Gabriele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fiume Veneto's zone, Edoardo Proia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Malatesta came out of the goal and Edoardo Proia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fulvio Cugini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edoardo Rago was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. FC Aquile Azzurre's Fulvio Gabriele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save FC Aquile Azzurre from getting a goal against them. A collision led to FC Aquile Azzurre getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Angelo Scarinci hit a great ball. Fulvio Gabriele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edoardo Rago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bianco Masi during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Aquile Azzurre's goalkeeper Fulvio Gabriele, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fulvio Cugini in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camillo Malatesta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edoardo Rago charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edoardo Rago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edoardo Rago hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Fulvio Cugini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camillo Malatesta. Fiume Veneto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fulvio Cugini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 92 minutes into the match, Fulvio Cugini notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Fiume Veneto's Camillo Malatesta. Camillo Malatesta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
