With a little luck, Rossangeles's Biagio Firmani got control of the ball when Claudio Monaco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Biagio Firmani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Varglien in the 7th minute of play. When Armin Bonanni fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rossangeles's protests and gave Armin Bonanni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Rossangeles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armin Bonanni to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Biagio Firmani managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Maritek FC's Claudio Monaco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Armando Fortuna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedele Varglien hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the game, Bianco Liberati was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rossangeles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maritek FC the free kick. In the 21st minute, Bianco Liberati hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Amos Fallito sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Biagio Firmani threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Amos Fallito this time. After 23 minutes, Edmondo Lepori mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maritek FC and the Rossangeles players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Lepori. Claudio Monaco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Biagio Firmani made a huge save. Edmondo Lepori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camillo Salomone got free with Biagio Firmani in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fedele Varglien charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fedele Varglien the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Maritek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedele Varglien to maneuver through the defense. Biagio Firmani was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Claudio Monaco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claudio Monaco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Biagio Firmani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Monaco in the 38th minute. Eraldo De Meis hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Rossangeles's goalkeeper Biagio Firmani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Fortuna. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Claudio Monaco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maritek FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Monaco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Biagio Firmani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Lizzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Rossangeles getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bianco Liberati hit a great ball. Amos Fallito was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Rossangeles defense, Camillo Salomone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Biagio Firmani. The Rossangeles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Biagio Firmani should have stopped the shot. Biagio Firmani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Camillo Salomone went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Rossangeles booed when Maritek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Varglien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camillo Salomone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Biagio Firmani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Rossangeles's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Monaco came free, but Biagio Firmani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Biagio Firmani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Monaco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Camillo Salomone notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Rossangeles's Biagio Firmani. Biagio Firmani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Biagio Firmani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Salomone in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Camillo Salomone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Maritek FC's Claudio Monaco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Biagio Firmani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Alberigo Di Placido charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberigo Di Placido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Biagio Firmani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Monaco's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After some careless play in the Rossangeles defense, Camillo Salomone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Biagio Firmani. The Rossangeles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Biagio Firmani should have stopped the shot.
