Aldo Di Camillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedele Di Pasquale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Iacobucci scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amos Roberto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Fedele Di Pasquale put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aldo Di Camillo. 29 minutes into the match, Monkey D.Luffy's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Pomponio came free, but Aldo Di Camillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuele Evangelista's late challenge caught a Monkey D.Luffy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuele Evangelista helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, San Michele AFC's Emanuele Evangelista got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 39th minute, Alberto Iacobucci made a precise shot to the right of Amos Roberto. San Michele AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Amos Roberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesare Lemme, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The San Michele AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Monkey D.Luffy were winning 1-2.

In the 56th match minute, Monkey D.Luffy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Iacobucci to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute of the match Alberigo Pomponio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aldo Di Camillo skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrizio Casiraghi in the 68th minute of play forced San Michele AFC's goalkeeper Amos Roberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute of the match, Alberto Iacobucci tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amos Roberto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. San Michele AFC's Amos Roberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrizio Casiraghi in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match Alberigo Pomponio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aldo Di Camillo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aldo Di Camillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo Pomponio, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, San Michele AFC's goalkeeper Amos Roberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesare Lemme. 84 minutes into the match, Cesare Lemme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amos Roberto. San Michele AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesare Lemme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. After 89 minutes, Anthony Bomba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monkey D.Luffy and the San Michele AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alberigo Pomponio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Di Camillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Monkey D.Luffy's Fabrizio Casiraghi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amos Roberto. That made the score 1-7 after 92 minutes of play. Fabrizio Casiraghi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amos Roberto came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabrizio Casiraghi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 96th minute. Monkey D.Luffy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
