U.S.Normande's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that François Jannot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Versannat's goalkeeper Désiré Verdy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Rémy Jacquey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The supporters of Versannat booed when U.S.Normande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Senet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rémy Jacquey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 minutes, Omer Guillemin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U.S.Normande and the Versannat players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, U.S.Normande's Omer Guillemin got a free kick in the 59th minute. Ulysse Poquet came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Versannat's Rémy Jacquey. But to his dismay, Rémy Jacquey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Désiré Verdy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omer Guillemin in the 68th minute of the match. After 69 played minutes Versannat got a freekick which was hit by Léonard Keita. If Rémy Jacquey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rémy Jacquey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulysse Poquet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, U.S.Normande's Ulysse Poquet got control of the ball when Rémy Jacquey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hassan Coulet took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Désiré Verdy. Désiré Verdy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 82nd minute, Guillaume Senet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Désiré Verdy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.
