When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Mannuel Cofquecura put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Prudentio Telaeche. In the 9th match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toma Hawk to maneuver through the defense. In the 12thth minute of the game Romano Milan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Deportes La Serena's Prudentio Telaeche was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jasone Ovando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Pumaraboli in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Club Deportes La Serena got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Mellibosky. Rogerio Recalde hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Prudentio Telaeche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mannuel Cofquecura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Romano Milan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prudentio Telaeche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simón Chavez in the 33rd minute of play. Rogerio Recalde kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Romano Milan hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Ermegildo Gutiérrez kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romano Milan to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Club Deportes La Serena's goalkeeper Prudentio Telaeche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romano Milan. Francisco Alberto Fenieux kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Nicanor Mellibosky was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportes La Serena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zorros del Desierto the free kick. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Deportes La Serena! Prudentio Telaeche came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Zorros del Desierto's Romano Milan. But to his dismay, Romano Milan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Prudentio Telaeche made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Mannuel Cofquecura sent off a good shot on target. Club Deportes La Serena's Prudentio Telaeche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romano Milan in the 77th minute of play. After 79 minutes, Jose Maria Villaseñor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportes La Serena and the Zorros del Desierto players grew even worse after the yellow card. 78 minutes into the game, one of Club Deportes La Serena:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Prudentio Telaeche went to the wrong direction when Romano Milan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 86th match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Pérez to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Mark Diaz de León shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jasone Ovando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zorros del Desierto's Jasone Ovando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Abufhele in the 89th minute of play. Anastasio Abufhele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Club Deportes La Serena got a freekick which was hit by Xabel Doursther. Mannuel Cofquecura in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Prudentio Telaeche, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 101st minute, Simón Chavez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Prudentio Telaeche. The goal made the score 0-4. The Zorros del Desierto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zorros del Desierto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
