The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marc Lanchares's late challenge caught a Copaquire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Copaquire's Juliano Buchanan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Francisco Achondo in the 4th minute of play. The Centinela Español FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Aureo Mazuelas came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Copaquire's Florencio Asmussen. But to his dismay, Florencio Asmussen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Florencio Asmussens short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Aureo Mazuelas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 16th minute Cristián Laferte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juliano Buchanan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes Centinela Español FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurilio Granic. When Centinela Español FC's Cristián Laferte in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristián Laferte in the 42nd minute of play forced Copaquire's goalkeeper Juliano Buchanan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Centinela Español FC booed when Copaquire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliazar Paillao didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 53 played minutes Copaquire got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Soruco. 61 minutes into the match, Eliazar Paillao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aureo Mazuelas. Centinela Español FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliazar Paillao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 64 minutes into the game, Copaquire's Florencio Asmussen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aureo Mazuelas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Juliano Buchanan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristián Laferte in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Copaquire's goalkeeper Juliano Buchanan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristián Laferte. In the 74th minute Florencio Asmussen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureo Mazuelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureo Mazuelas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliazar Paillao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Copaquire's Liberto Pascuala nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aureo Mazuelas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Maurilio Granic kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Eliazar Paillao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florencio Asmussen in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aureo Mazuelas saved Centinela Español FC from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Copaquire fully deserved thier win.
