The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Del Real couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Carmelo Valdebenito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. union española s.a.'s Gregorio Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Scheuermann in the 15th minute of play. Gregorio Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodovico Martens, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Ambrosio Scheuermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Del Real took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gregorio Pinto. Gregorio Pinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Juan Ignacio González made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nauzet Fontaner in the 30th minute of play. After some careless play in the union española s.a. defense, Juan José González kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregorio Pinto. The union española s.a. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregorio Pinto should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, union española s.a.'s Humberto Neil got a free kick in the 38th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luciano Quilapan was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as C.F. Leftraro's Ambrosio Scheuermann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gregorio Pinto. That made the score 0-3 after 52 minutes of play. Leonel Del Real recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan José González who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Gregorio Pinto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Gregorio Pinto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 67th match minute, union española s.a. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Quilapan to maneuver through the defense. Gregorio Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Scheuermann in the 70th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Xavi Abaroa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gregorio Pinto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 74 minutes into the game, Teodovico Martens recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gregorio Pinto. Teodovico Martens showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. A collision led to C.F. Leftraro getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Juan Manuel González hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match Topocho Daguerressar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Ignacio González showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. union española s.a.'s Gregorio Pinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save union española s.a. from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute Leonel Del Real shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
