Honrio Izarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Vanadio F.C.'s Michael Curiel got a free kick in the 17th minute. Frutos Cubas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordarrol Chamochin in the 26th minute of play. Vanadio F.C.'s Frutos Cubas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Bañuelos in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of Nacional booed when Vanadio F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Curiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nacional's Demesio Verdeja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Nacional from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Gipuzkoa Gante came free, but Demesio Verdeja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

A collision led to Vanadio F.C. getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gipuzkoa Gante hit a great ball. Nacional's Gabriel Biñuela shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Frutos Cubas but with some difficulty. Demesio Verdeja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honrio Izarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Honrio Izarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demesio Verdeja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Vanadio F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Vanadio F.C.'s Gipuzkoa Gante looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vanadio F.C. made a substitution. Marin Beytia replaced Michael Curiel. Frutos Cubas was a little too slow when Cordarrol Chamochin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 1-2. The supporters of Vanadio F.C. booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Presebal Artacho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vanadio F.C.'s Gipuzkoa Gante in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
