Hector Urbes struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Tod Bridgeworth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greengates Goliaths. Tod Bridgeworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Townsley in the 26th minute of play forced Greengates Goliaths's goalkeeper Vadim Kapranov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calvin Townsley got free with Vadim Kapranov in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute, Hector Urbes made a precise shot to the right of Tod Bridgeworth. Carlisle United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 70 minutes into the match, Greengates Goliaths's goal looked a bit too open when Jake Marriott came free, but Vadim Kapranov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlisle United's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Greengates Goliaths had won, even though Carlisle United had held more of the ball.
