Frerk Hentschel scored 2-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerold Zollt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Klement Praski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Gerold Zollt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerold Zollt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frerk Hentschel's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, DJK Füchtel Vechta's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Igrejas came free, but Gerold Zollt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Nóbrega in the 43rd minute of play forced Buffalo Bills's goalkeeper Ulli Hartwig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 47 in the game by Frerk Hentschel from a close distance when the talented Gerold Zollt managed to make a qualified save. DJK Füchtel Vechta's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Ovidiu Poenaru might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulli Hartwig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 64th minute of the match, Wellington Nóbrega got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ulli Hartwig was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
