Lutz Golke came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Egidius Seyler could save by the left post. Lutz Golke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Egidius Seyler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egidius Seyler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hinnerk Dietrich in the 28th minute of the match. Egidius Seyler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lutz Golke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lutz Golkes short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Egidius Seyler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Academica Pulheim's Kurt Ahrem slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Egidius Seyler. That made the score 3-0 after 38 minutes of play. Lutz Golke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Egidius Seyler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 42 in the game by Lutz Golke from a close distance when the talented Egidius Seyler managed to make a qualified save. FC Regental's players were relieved. Hinnerk Dietrich who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Egidius Seyler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hinnerk Dietrich to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Lutz Golke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Alex Mansilha replaced Lutz Golke. In the 63rd minute, Hinnerk Dietrich ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egidius Seyler was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The audience was convinced that Alex Mansilha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egidius Seyler was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Regental's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alex Mansilha was slow to take the kick. During this time Academica Pulheim's players had a chance to rest. In the 72nd minute Hinnerk Dietrich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egidius Seyler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egidius Seyler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hinnerk Dietrich went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. When Academica Pulheim's Alex Mansilha in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. During this time Academica Pulheim's players had a chance to rest. 82 minutes into the match, FC Regental's goal looked a bit too open when Hinnerk Dietrich came free, but Egidius Seyler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hinnerk Dietrich came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Academica Pulheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hinnerk Dietrich couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute Alex Mansilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egidius Seyler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egidius Seyler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Mansilha's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Regental players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Academica Pulheim.
