The audience was convinced that Emilio Argina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christopher Reimann was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Bernd Yuschni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Themis Papadimoulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Themis Papadimoulis put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bernd Yuschni. After the first half VfL Bad Nenndorf were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Argina was the one to do the kick off. When the final whistle sounded VfL Bad Nenndorf left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hannover Reds.
