The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hadi Baler in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nodar Gol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Czechia Hradec Králové's Nodar Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enis Barkan in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Roman Andrýsek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Čeněk Váchal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enis Barkan in the 13th minute of play forced Czechia Hradec Králové's goalkeeper Nodar Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Tottenham Hotspur FC got a corner. Czechia Hradec Králové's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karol Gajewski ran over to the corner to take the kick. 22 minutes into the match, Czechia Hradec Králové's goal looked a bit too open when Hadi Baler came free, but Nodar Gol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nodar Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hadi Baler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nodar Gol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Gaitan went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 40 minutes, Miloš Baxa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Czechia Hradec Králové and the Tottenham Hotspur FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hadi Baler took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nodar Gol. Nodar Gol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Jordão Rego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roman Andrýsek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enis Barkan in the 59th minute of play forced Czechia Hradec Králové's goalkeeper Nodar Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 played minutes Tottenham Hotspur FC got a freekick which was hit by Zdeněk Šmicer. After having played for 61 minutes, Přemek Tomanec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Czechia Hradec Králové's supporters crossed their fingers, but Přemek Tomanec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Nodar Gol managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Tottenham Hotspur FC's Marcos Gaitan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 66 minutes into the match, Jordão Rego dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nodar Gol, 0-3. In the 69th minute Hadi Baler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nodar Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes in the game, Hadi Baler dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Hadi Baler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nodar Gol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute Enis Barkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nodar Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jiří Chmelík had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tottenham Hotspur FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Josef Kahoun hit a great ball. Nodar Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hadi Baler in the 82nd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Czechia Hradec Králové's goalkeeper Nodar Gol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hadi Baler. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tottenham Hotspur FC! In the 90th minute, Přemek Tomanec made a precise shot to the right of Čeněk Váchal. Tottenham Hotspur FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Tomáš Jagoš hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
