Balavanis's Federico Flamini quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Remus Onea, made in the 10th minute of the game. Dacian Oravițan made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Ferdinand Costa sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Văidianu in the 17th minute of play forced FC ciufulici's goalkeeper Dacian Oravițan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, FC ciufulici's goal looked a bit too open when Valer Văidianu came free, but Dacian Oravițan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC ciufulici getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Remus Onea hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC ciufulici's Dacian Oravițan got control of the ball when Alf Tanner tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute, Ferdinand Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balavanis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 42nd minute, Balavanis's Ferdinand Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dacian Oravițan. Dacian Oravițan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-0. The supporters of FC ciufulici booed when Balavanis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdinand Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
