In the 9th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornel Poplăcan to maneuver through the defense. Antonio Navarro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gigel Tilea firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 17 minutes Academia Rio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Calvin Huff who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Chevaliers FC's Calvin Huff to fire away a dangerous shot which Gigel Tilea despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Chevaliers FC's Chris-George Chevalier made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigel Tilea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gigel Tilea acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 22nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pompiliu Fărcașu. In the 24thth minute of the game Chris-George Chevalier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nikola Vlašić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Nikola Vlašić came free, but Gigel Tilea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea got control of the ball when Antonio Navarro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gigel Tilea was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Antonio Navarro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antonio Navarro really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Academia Rio from getting a goal against them. Gigel Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Vlašić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea got control of the ball when Chris-George Chevalier tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute Radu Păvăloae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Ailenei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia Rio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Calvin Huff was slow to take the kick. During this time Chevaliers FC's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Chevaliers FC booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Păvăloae didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Chevaliers FC made a substitution. Sorin Gurgui replaced Augustin Ţopescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornel Poplăcan in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niculae Ailenei saved Chevaliers FC from getting behind. 56 minutes into the match, Chris-George Chevalier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gigel Tilea. Academia Rio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chris-George Chevalier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Gigel Tilea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Navarro in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Nikola Vlašić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Tilea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute Chevaliers FC were awarded a corner. Sorin Gurgui went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris-George Chevalier in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigel Tilea saved Academia Rio from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Navarro in the 78th minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Gigel Tilea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Tilea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Navarro's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. When Chevaliers FC's Antonio Navarro in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chevaliers FC.
