Marcu Dobrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Benjamin Smed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind IFK United's goalkeeper Benjamin Smed, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Skark in the 33rd minute of play forced G A I S's goalkeeper Staffan Eckegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléber Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Staffan Eckegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Skark in the 41st minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matthias Bern to make the kick off. G A I S's attentive Washington Andrade managed to snatch the ball when Robrecht Portmans made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game.
