Nils Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin McNamara, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Osvald Mattsson sped through Wyoming Cowboys's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henning Berglund. Mats McNamara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Nils Tunander made a huge save. Henning Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvald Mattsson in the 16th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Vilbergen Boys Club's goalkeeper Nils Tunander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lanny Lilly. After some careless play in the Wyoming Cowboys defense, Osvald Mattsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henning Berglund. The Wyoming Cowboys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henning Berglund should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute Jonny McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Osvald Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonny McNamara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nils Tunander came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonny McNamara slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 31st minute. Henning Berglund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvald Mattsson's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edwin McNamara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Vilbergen Boys Club's Osvald Mattsson in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wyoming Cowboys's goalie prevented a goal. Osvald Mattsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvald Mattsson got free with Henning Berglund in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osvald Mattsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Henning Berglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Jonny McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 minutes of play, Vilbergen Boys Club's Osvald Mattsson made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henning Berglund was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wyoming Cowboys's goalkeeper Henning Berglund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Vilbergen Boys Club booed when Wyoming Cowboys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zlatin Serdarov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Lanny Lilly cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Nils Tunander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 92 minutes Wyoming Cowboys's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hector Hanmark who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Hector Hanmark got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Henning Berglund quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvald Mattsson got free with Henning Berglund in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Wyoming Cowboys supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vilbergen Boys Club's performance. The match ended with a win for Vilbergen Boys Club.
