The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 16th match minute, 1910 Di Blåe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Odman to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of The Green Fairies booed when 1910 Di Blåe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. The corner ended in Douglas Håkansson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Green Fairies's Freddie Mattsson did a great save. 31 minutes into the game, 1910 Di Blåe's Nils-Åke Petersson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freddie Mattsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Torbjörn Helander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivo Calado in the 39th minute. 1910 Di Blåe's Torbjörn Helander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save 1910 Di Blåe from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, The Green Fairies's Vilhelm Berg got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Pål Bratt managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Green Fairies's supporters rose to their feet, but Pål Bratt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Odman made a kick off. Freddie Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1910 Di Blåe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Douglas Håkansson in the 55th minute. 1910 Di Blåe's Douglas Håkansson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Freddie Mattsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, 1910 Di Blåe's Christoffer Isaksson got a free kick in the 58th minute. 1910 Di Blåe made a substitution. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pål Bratt in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torbjörn Helander saved 1910 Di Blåe from getting behind. André Johnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, 1910 Di Blåe's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Mossberg came free, but Torbjörn Helander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The The Green Fairies fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when The Green Fairies's Pål Bratt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Freddie Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Johnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 1910 Di Blåe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Douglas Håkansson in the 95th minute. The corner ended in Douglas Håkansson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Green Fairies's Freddie Mattsson did a great save. Torbjörn Helander came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by The Green Fairies's Vilhelm Berg. But to his dismay, Vilhelm Berg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. The Green Fairies had played much better football throughout.
