Arvin Bollström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Rosen's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kevin Rosen in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arvin Bollström saved Ekerö IF from getting behind. After 10 minutes, Bengt-Arne Biörnberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ekerö IF and the Västra Frölunda IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kevin Rosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Arvin Bollström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Ragnar Rydelius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västra Frölunda IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ragnar Rydelius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ekerö IF's Arvin Bollström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Rydelius in the 20th minute of play. Kevin Rosen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sakarias Persson made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Bengt-Arne Biörnberg sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ekerö IF booed when Västra Frölunda IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliott Kvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bengt-Arne Biörnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Wikander succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 36th playminute. After a rather tough play, Ekerö IF's Bengt-Arne Biörnberg got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some careless play in the Västra Frölunda IF defense, Andreas Siöman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sakarias Persson. The Västra Frölunda IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sakarias Persson should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the game, Ekerö IF's Bengt-Arne Biörnberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sakarias Persson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmund Lindholm to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Edmund Lindholm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ekerö IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Västra Frölunda IF's Sakarias Persson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Wikander in the 54th minute of play. Bengt-Arne Biörnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Fanström hit a great ball. Karl-Erik Pilgren's late challenge caught a Ekerö IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Erik Pilgren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Freddie Wikander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sakarias Persson was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Sakarias Persson came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Ekerö IF's Edmund Lindholm. But to his dismay, Edmund Lindholm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. If Bengt-Arne Biörnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Västra Frölunda IF's Sakarias Persson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Wikander in the 77th minute of play. Bengt-Arne Biörnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sakarias Persson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Lizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sakarias Persson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmund Lindholm went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Västra Frölunda IF defense, Edmund Lindholm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sakarias Persson. The Västra Frölunda IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sakarias Persson should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd match minute, Ekerö IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Lizar to maneuver through the defense.
