Spectators: 172 (Terracing: 130, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) C. A. Independiente's Sidney Forbes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kerry Sellers struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Rhys Dimmock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Independiente. C. A. Independiente's Farid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daron Joseph in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Lane came free, but Farid Mondragón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kerry Sellers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 14th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes, Daron Joseph made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. C. A. Independiente's Farid Mondragón tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Pan Jing Qi hit a great ball. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry Sellers, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Filip Stăniloaie got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Rhys Dimmock came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers. But to his dismay, Kerry Sellers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Farid Mondragón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daron Joseph, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Kerry Sellers in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rhys Dimmock, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kerry Sellers might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rhys Dimmock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kerry Sellers ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute Kerry Sellers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sid Chadwick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Rhys Dimmock made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerry Sellers in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rhys Dimmock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, C. A. Independiente's Tomas Gustafson got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

C. A. Independiente made a substitution. Tommie Bolton replaced Sidney Forbes. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Lane to strike the kick off in the second half. Kerry Sellers took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rhys Dimmock. Rhys Dimmock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Kerry Sellers managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Kerry Sellers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rhys Dimmock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the game, one of Zamalek FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Leonardo Lane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zamalek FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zamalek FC's zone, Kerry Sellers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rhys Dimmock came out of the goal and Kerry Sellers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 minutes, Kerry Sellers made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Daron Joseph's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Farid Mondragón skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kerry Sellers in the 83rd minute of play. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerry Sellers in the 87th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Fred Kirkpatrick dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Farid Mondragón, 3-2. In the 95th minute, Kerry Sellers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rhys Dimmock was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zamalek FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C. A. Independiente.
