Wilbur Hyde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from M. Ramdhan Rombot in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Kentucky Mustangs's Tracy Brunson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilbur Hyde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Matthew Medrano fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Canalla de Chicago's protests and gave Matthew Medrano a yellow card for diving instead. The corner led Kentucky Mustangs's Barry Curry to fire away a dangerous shot which Wilbur Hyde despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 25th minute, Gao Lang Feng ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilbur Hyde was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Vilar in the 33rd minute of play forced Kentucky Mustangs's goalkeeper Stanford Peters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 39th minute, but Stanford Peters got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Kentucky Mustangs hanging dry this time. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Joaquim Vilar took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Stanford Peters to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Vilar made a kick off. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Kentucky Mustangs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gao Lang Feng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanford Peters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Vilar in the 54th minute of play. El Canalla de Chicago's Domingo Lopez was substituted for Tom Adams. El Canalla de Chicago's Justin Raines was substituted for Andreas Sanchez. A collision led to Kentucky Mustangs getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Cesar Hays hit a great ball. In the 65th minute of the match Claude Mueller shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stanford Peters showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Stanford Peters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Raines, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Wilbur Hyde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gao Lang Feng in the 75th minute of the match. Stanford Peters stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Lopez's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Kentucky Mustangs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tracy Brunson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kentucky Mustangs's Stanford Peters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justin Raines in the 81st minute of play. Tracy Brunson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Wilbur Hyde successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 88th minute Claude Mueller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanford Peters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanford Peters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Lockhart in the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Kentucky Mustangs's goal looked a bit too open when Justin Raines came free, but Stanford Peters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanford Peters came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by El Canalla de Chicago's Justin Raines. But to his dismay, Justin Raines quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. El Canalla de Chicago fully deserved thier win.
