An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Perez in the 19th minute of play forced Ditalent.F.C.'s goalkeeper Haimon Moraitopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Ţopescu in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haimon Moraitopoulos saved Ditalent.F.C. from getting behind. Dudley Puckett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmos Soccer Club's zone, Dudley Puckett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Gheară came out of the goal and Dudley Puckett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cosmos Soccer Club getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Josef Napier hit a great ball. In the 50th minute, Dudley Puckett sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cosmos Soccer Club's Dan Gheară didn't even have to move. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Dirk McQueen made the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute Ivan Ţopescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haimon Moraitopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elliot Lacy during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Ivan Ţopescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.
