The supporters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica booed when A.C.CROCA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Zeferino Carvalhais took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Raimundo Coimbra to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignat Pantov in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Max Moberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Raimundo Coimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óscar Cardozo in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, A.C.CROCA's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Severiano came free, but Max Moberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignat Pantov in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Max Moberg saved A.C.CROCA from getting behind. Raimundo Coimbra made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Zeferino Carvalhais sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Cardozo in the 53rd minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Raimundo Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The A.C.CROCA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sport Lisboa e Benfica had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
