Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Inácio Secco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mao Zhen Hong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
