AEK FC were furious when Atle Solvang was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 6th match minute, AEK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atle Solvang to maneuver through the defense. Kent Remme charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Remme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kenneth Knudsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oddvar Nordhus went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kenneth Knudsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Ning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ewan Rieu came free, but Kenneth Knudsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Lei Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Knudsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ewan Rieu in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Birger Heistad during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Birger Heistad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ewan Rieu took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kenneth Knudsen. Kenneth Knudsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 35th minute, Lei Ning made a precise shot to the right of Kenneth Knudsen. AEK FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 40th minute Ewan Rieu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Knudsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ewan Rieu in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Kent Remme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ewan Rieu made a kick off. Carmine Caligaris hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Kenneth Knudsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ewan Rieu in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Knudsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zachariasz Ciechocki. Alf Fredriksson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Zachariasz Ciechocki took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kenneth Knudsen. Kenneth Knudsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lei Ning in the 67th minute of play forced AEK FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Knudsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen got control of the ball when Zachariasz Ciechocki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kenneth Knudsen was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Ewan Rieu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ewan Rieu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Kenneth Knudsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ewan Rieu in the 74th minute of the match. Steffen Schlenz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kenneth Knudsen firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 79th minute, Ewan Rieu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kenneth Knudsen. The goal made the score 0-6. Ewan Rieu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Kenneth Knudsen made a huge save. 84 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Knudsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lei Ning. 86 minutes into the game, Zachariasz Ciechocki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Kenneth Knudsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ewan Rieu had several of the AEK FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 88 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Kenneth Knudsen as he didn't even see the shot coming. 91 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oddvar Nordhus came free, but Kenneth Knudsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, AEK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmine Caligaris to maneuver through the defense. Zac Birbauer struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Kenneth Knudsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skytta Toppidrettslag. Skytta Toppidrettslag's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
