The audience was convinced that Aldo Ascencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Igon was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 45th minute Aldo Ascencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Igon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

60 minutes into the match, Cachilo FC --OFF--'s goalkeeper Matias Ceandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fulgencio Ferrer. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Ascencio in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Igon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aldo Ascencio took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Igon. Daniel Igon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Aldo Ascencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Daniel Igon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cachilo FC --OFF-- booed when Campeones del Mundo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Sugoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fulgencio Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cachilo FC --OFF--'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
