The audience thought a goal was coming when Godfried Teunens got free with Christian Firme in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, Godfried Teunens dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christian Firme, 3-0. Christian Firme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godfried Teunens went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When La Bichineta's Godfried Teunens in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 27th minute, Godfried Teunens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Bichineta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Godfried Teunens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Firme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Narciso Kusko got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marcelo Gonsalve. Godfried Teunens might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Firme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godfried Teunens ran back to his position shaking his head. Christian Firme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried Teunens in the 38th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcial Felo was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Juan Sebastian Veron's zone, Dorival de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Firme came out of the goal and Dorival de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute Godfried Teunens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Firme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Godfried Teunens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Firme was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. La Bichineta made a substitution. Eliseo Iigo replaced Godfried Teunens. Vennard Rojak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Christian Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Eliseo Iigo sped through Juan Sebastian Veron's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christian Firme. In the 72nd minute, José Ignacio Fernández ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Firme was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. After some careless play in the Juan Sebastian Veron defense, Eliseo Iigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Firme. The Juan Sebastian Veron fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Firme should have stopped the shot. In the 83rd minute, Dorival de Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Eliseo Iigo put it in 12-0 from a short distance just to the right of Christian Firme. Christian Firme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Iigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Christian Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Iigo in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. La Bichineta had played much better football throughout.
