Academia 1903's Hélio Mangueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Academia 1903 from getting a goal against them. Tomás Bonifaco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Columbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Ishmael in the 18th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Hélio Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Timoteo Columbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Bonifaco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Torino FC's goalkeeper Tomás Bonifaco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hélio Mangueira made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Gogo Fidele sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the match, Torino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Columbo came free, but Tomás Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jakub Zbydniowski fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torino FC's protests and gave Jakub Zbydniowski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Torino FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jakub Zbydniowski hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes Torino FC got a freekick which was hit by Pankracy Imbor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harald Ek in the 46th minute of play forced Torino FC's goalkeeper Tomás Bonifaco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timoteo Columbo to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Díaz kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Gérard Magyar replaced Harald Ek. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Nicanor Morenø replaced Timoteo Columbo. In the 58th minute of the match Torino FC got a corner. Academia 1903's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Academia 1903's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 63rd match minute, Academia 1903 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Galoer to maneuver through the defense. Hélio Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Fidele in the 71st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Academia 1903 defense, Gogo Fidele kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélio Mangueira. The Academia 1903 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélio Mangueira should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Franz-Peter Dolić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match Gérard Magyar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Bonifaco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nicanor Morenø's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tomás Bonifaco firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicanor Morenø kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomás Bonifaco. That made the score 1-1 in the 81 minute of play. Gogo Fidele blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélio Mangueira having to make a save. After 87 played minutes Nicanor Morenø rounded Torino FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Hélio Mangueira came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Torino FC's Gogo Fidele. But to his dismay, Gogo Fidele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
