The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Teodosio Florin got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Locura Académica's goalkeeper Rafael Gilesindo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, Locura Académica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Emenon to maneuver through the defense. Urbano Ortega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nixon Richards tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nixon Richards made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Sotero in the 22nd minute of play. Divorciados FC's Beat Kellenberger got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabricio Otsoa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 27th playminute. The audience was convinced that Teodosio Florin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Gilesindo was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Divorciados FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beat Kellenberger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Gilesindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafael Gilesindo came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Divorciados FC's Rodolfo Manuelo. But to his dismay, Rodolfo Manuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Rafael Gilesindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Otsoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Beat Kellenberger took a quick shot and it went in 7-0 without a chance for Rafael Gilesindo to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urbano Ortega to make the kick off. Beat Kellenberger scored 8-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafael Gilesindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 56 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Otsoa came free, but Rafael Gilesindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Locura Académica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Gilesindo should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute, Divorciados FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Urbano Ortega fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
